Pricing tier is not obvious from a project/group

Problem

When working in groups and projects, it is currently not easy to understand the the pricing tier that the project/group is on. This is currently only possible by accessing the project/group settings, which are not available to users that are not project/group owners. It would be nice to know the pricing tier since it impacts the features/settings available. For instance, guests of premium or ultimate groups can see epics. If I am a guest in Group A and a guest in Group B, the only way to know why epics are not there in one of them is because one is premium and one is free.

On GitLab.com, a project/group can be on the following tiers:

  • Free
  • Premium
  • Ultimate

Proposal

We add a visual indication to groups and projects so that you can see at a glance whether they are on a free, premium or ultimate tier. The lefthand sidebar might be a good place for that.
