Instrumentation: Number of contributed components/added components to catalog

Summary

To gauge the number of contributed components and added components to the catalog, we need to add instrumentation to capture that information so that we can better understand the rate of adoption in CI Catalog.

Proposal

Create a metric for when a component is contributed to or when a component has been added to the catalog. Collecting timestamps will provide valuable time series trends over time. Collecting any component type data like tags would be additionally helpful.
