Problem to solve

We introduced a PID file to prevent multiple backups from running in parallel that can lead to unpredictable behaviour in this issue #362593 (closed).

Further details

Customers may not be aware of the new PID file. We need to explain how this works with respect to backups. Some customers are running into issues where the PID file from an aborted/failed backup run is preventing new backups from being taken.

Document how to clean up the PID file for aborted/failed backup runs in the troubleshooting section
