Problem to solve

In Present call-to-actions to configure dashboards... (#388629 - closed) it was decided that the initial chosen solution was a good MVC but could definitely be improved upon. One of the design choices (Option 3) in the issue was preferred as the improved version. However, Option 3 still had UX issues to resolve and a full flow to be considered.

Proposed outcome

Figure out the UX issues of the preferred design choice and get an engineering implementation plan in place to schedule the work to make the improvements.
