Groups search in header not responding to existing groups

Summary

searching groups in Groups in the header is not responding at all after the update to version 12.5. It still shows the frequently used groups, but does not change them at all when typing in a couple of characters of existing groups

Steps to reproduce

  • open Groups item in header
  • search for one of your groups
  • nothing changes, still the same frequent groups get displayed, It should however show the groups or at least: Sorry no groups matched your search
