Wiki home page URL case sensitivity
This is a follow-up for #259711 (closed) for the home page URL case sensitivity issue. Copy-paste from the parent issue:
I have the default /home
page and custom /Home
pages. When I tried to move the Architecture
page from /Home
to /home
, I got the following error:
Then, I moved the 111
directory from the root to /home
and it updated the title of the page from Home
to home
:
Is it a bug allowing to have two pages with the same title and different names and not differentiating them when trying to move from one to another?
And finally, when I tried to change the title of the /home
page from home
to Home page
, I got a completely new page Home page
in the root:
As a user, I expect the whole tree to be renamed, not only the root page. If I will have a hundred sub-pages, it will be a nightmare moving them all.
When I click on the Wiki project link, the default home page URL is /home
, but if I rename it to Home
, it changes the URL key to /Home
and from the UI perspective, these are two separate pages, but from the backend perspective, they're the same:
The /Home
and /home
page contents are the same:
But the URL is different and they're displayed as different pages in the tree.
As a user, I expect:
- the home page to have the human-friendly title
Home
, nothome
. - the Home page title doesn't affect the URL, or when I click on the project's Wiki page, I get to a proper home page URL and don't have multiple home URLs with different letter cases.
