Items missing from To-Do list

Problem

I have noticed that not all items appear in the To-Do list anymore since the recent update to the design. I could not identify a pattern to this yet. I just notice it when I go through emails and then see there that I was directly tagged, but for some reason the tags never showed up in my To-Do list.
