Regression: branches in combobox are shown in alphabetic order instead of last modification order

After migration to 15.7.0, the branch selection combobox on pages like https://gitlab.XXX.com/GROUP/PROJECT/-/commits/BRANCH/ started to show branches ordered alphabetically. Previously i was able to see all the fresh or recently updated branches in its dropdown, which was very handy for me.

Please bring back the order of branches like in this page: https://gitlab.XXX.com/GROUP/PROJECT/-/branches
