Work Items - Switch from Modal to Drawer

Problem to solve

In work items, we use the modal component to open Tasks and Key Results in context. The latest guidance from our UX org is to use Drawers for this purpose.

Proposal

• Use https://design.gitlab.com/components/drawer when opening work items "in context".
• Explore ways to expand to a full-screen work item view from the drawer.
