GitLab Migration - If you enter a bad url + token the error message is not shown on the status page
From https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/manage/import/discussions/-/issues/30#note_1182731002
If you enter a bad url + token the error message is not shown on the status page. It's only shown to you when you go back AND refresh the page. Can be quite confusing for a user.
- if you enter a bad url (e.g. https://not_existed_url.com), you'll see the
Host cannot be resolved or invalid
error and won't be redirected to{{host}}/import/bulk_imports/status
- if you enter any existing URL other than GitLab source URL (e.g. - https://www.google.com/, https://some.website), you'll be redirected to
{{host}}/import/bulk_imports/status
page and won't see any errors until you refresh this page (or until you go back and refresh the page)
As @krisberry pointed out, it might behave the same for expired tokens (which the user still treats as valid) and might be frustrating for the user.
