Pods as a name is not MECEFU

Problem

The term Pod is used for two different concepts:

• GitLab Pods - https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/architecture/blueprints/pods/
• Kubernetes Pods - https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/workloads/pods/

This will be confusing to SREs who will have to manage boths.

@fabian it occurred to me today that the name pods will be so confusing in the future incidents, considering that it will refer to two concepts. Kubernetes Pod and Gitlab Pod.
I hate to bring you another hard naming problem :D

Mental models will work against that term. In the call, @Omar Qunsul was very kind to point out that pods is confusing in the context he was using it. If he had not said that, I would have not mentioned it and assumed he meant K8's just based on my own background.

Solution

Find a MECEFU for a GitLab Pod.
