Please don't release features silently

Problem to solve

By coincidence I re-looked at https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/raketasks/backup_restore.html, and saw that in since 12.2 (guess based on the fact that the documentation names the old command for 12.1, but it might have been any point release between 12.1 and 12.2), there has been a gitlab-backup create. The release announcement for 12.1.6 talks about backup of grafana, apart from that backup isn't mentioned in any of the release announcements that might have corresponded to when this change happened.

It's impossible for those of us that have to administrate a gitlab server to keep up when features are released silently, so please don't do that.
