Stuck on 2FA settings page

Summary

Activating the 2FA requirement on a project creates an infinite loop requiring the 2FA even if it's disabled afterward.

Steps to reproduce

I was able to encounter this issue on a private GitLab EE instance.

The 2FA can be activated but won't work at all on the instance due to an issue with the Apps failing to generate a valid OTP.

I've mistakenly activated the 2FA on a project, so I was redirected to the 2FA activation page.

I'm now unable to leave this page since it's always redirecting me to the 2FA activate page, wherever I'm trying to go.

Login in / out doesn't fix the issue.

Even after asking a colleague of mine to remove the 2FA and even deleting the project, I'm still unable to exit from the 2FA screen.

Example Project

Any project where you fail to enter a valid OTP.

What is the current bug behavior?

After removing the 2FA requirement or deleting a project, I'm still unable to navigate freely in the GitLab instance.

What is the expected correct behavior?

After removing the 2FA requirement or deleting a project, I should be able to navigate freely in the GitLab instance.

Possible fixes

A quick workaround, is to ask a colleague to remove you from the parent group of the project.
