Why does the use case exist?

There is no option for the customer to select a Premium trial and there is a demand for Premium trials. Prospects often want to ensure they're not testing features they won't have access to if they're planning to purchase Premium specifically.

Are there any workarounds?

Yes, a trial can be downgraded via customersdot if the namespace and the cdot account is correctly linked.

Is the function addressing a bug or a missing feature?

The function helps to provide a feature where one does not currently exist.
