As a user, I want the organizational affiliations listed in my profile to be automatically linked to those organizations' namespaces on GitLab, so that my connection to these organizations is more obvious and navigating to those organizations' namespaces is easier.

While setting the organization field in the user profile https://gitlab.com/-/profile we should be able to @ mention top-level public groups. So a person working at GitLab can put @gitlab-com and it should be hyperlinked to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com on the user profile page https://gitlab.com/youruser

How to prevent abuse?

I think it should be allowed to link back if the user is part of the top level group they want to link to their profile
