Accurate Todo Counts Displayed - "Ghost Todos"
Problem
There have been several mentions in the #is-this-known Slack Channel about inaccurate Todo Counts (also known as "Ghost Todos" when searching Slack). What is displayed in the body of the Todo Page does not correctly reflect what the Todo count is in the top right of GitLab. The most common example is the Todo Page displaying the "Nothing left to do. High Five!" message with remaining counts in the topbar of the app.

It has possibly been narrowed down to an issue with Groups you might be in, but Issues/Projects you aren't.
There’s also a case where if you or a group you’re in gets mentioned on an issue/project you’re not a member of and is confidential it counts the todo but won’t let you see it to clear it. that can be resolved by using “mark all as done” from the list view when you have a todo you can see. I think @kencjohnston figured that out a few months back.
