Sync a child work item's iteration with its parent's iteration
Problem
It's cumbersome to manually keep the iteration in sync with a parent work item.
Proposal
Due to the nature of iterations as a short-lived timebox, if a parent has an iteration, the default behavior should be that the child's iteration is synced to the parent's iteration.
Acceptance
-
If a work item has a parent, and that parent has an iteration, then the child's iteration value should be set to that of the parent work item's iteration. -
If the parent's iteration is updated and the child is still open, it should automatically update the child's iteration. -
If the parent's iteration is updated and the child is closed, it should not automatically update the child's iteration.
