GitLab (native) LFS deduplication

Does the native GitLab LFS implementation support de-duplication of LFS objects?

I see at https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/development/git_object_deduplication.html that deduplication is supported for GitLab git repository objects, but it's not clear whether deduplication is supported in LFS.
