Pasting image and immediately creating comment yields `{{image}}` instead of pasted image

Problem

I am encountering this quite often lately.

When editing a comment or creating a new one and pasting an image.. after which you immediately press the comment creation button.. your freshly pasted image.. is gone! instead of it you'll see `{{image}}

Proposal

this is obviously a bug.. all text in the editor should be preserved and committed in order to form the desired comment.
