On-demand Scans: Iterate on the placement of "saved scans" so that they are easier to find

Insight

Participants struggled when asked to navigate to the scan library to find a saved scan

Supporting evidence

As part of the usability test, participants were asked to find and review the results of a completed pre-scan verification. Users started this task from the main On-demand scans index page (“All” tab) and needed to navigate to the scan library in order to locate the scan in question.

Every participant struggled to locate the saved scan in the scan library.

It seems that most participants expected that the scan they were asked to locate would be accessible from the task landing page (the “All” tab). It took participants quite a while to find and saved scan under the “scan library” tab. This hang up may have been a result an erroneous test task but most likely indicates a larger usability concern.

Action

Iterate on the placement of "saved scans" within On-demand scans, so that they are easier to find. Possible solutions should be validated thoroughly before changes are made.
