Align the buttons on the pipeline index page with pajamas guidelines
Release notes
Problem to solve
The buttons on the pipeline index page currently use default and danger variants for the actions.
The Pajamas guidelines mention:
In a long list of items where each contains a destructive action, use the default variant to avoid having many danger buttons overwhelm the page.
This applies to the pipeline index page as well. The Cancel pipeline
action buttons on the page appear overwhelming when presented in danger variant.
Intended users
- Delaney (Development Team Lead)
- Sasha (Software Developer)
- Priyanka (Platform Engineer)
- Sidney (Systems Administrator)
User experience goal
Users should not be overwhelmed with danger indications on any given page but yet should be able to differentiate between danger and regular actions one the page.
Proposal
Present the Cancel pipeline
button for each row in default variant. Place the button strategically so it doesn't attract accidental clicks.
