Problem to solve

A global storage quota management with limits exists on GitLab.com. In self-managed GitLab instances, the size limit exists only for the repositories but it does not include artifacts, uploads, wiki, packages, or snippets.

user story
who as a Systems Administrator,
what I want to set up the size limits of packages, artifacts or global uploads storage
why so I wouldn't have to ask all the teams to clean up their projects anymore. They will have to do it themselves because of the quota set on their projects. And because we regularly have disks getting full, especially on site where increasing the storage size is more laborious / time consuming than in public cloud.

Intended users

Proposal

  • Be able to set up the size limits of packages, artifacts or global uploads storage per group and project (as the owner)

What is the type of buyer?
