Work item title input behaves unpredictably

Problem

When creating a new work item from a markdown task, updating the title of a work item of type task, the input field behaves in an unpredictable manner. Specifically:

1. I can only remove a single character with the delete key. Hitting it again does not delete the next character.
2. When deleting a character, the cursor jumps around erratically.

Proposal

I should be able to enter and delete characters from the title input in a predictable way without my cursor jumping around.
