Gitlab wiki hides front matter when editing page and removes it on update

Summary

Wiki editor removes Front Matter from wiki pages.

Steps to reproduce

  1. open edit form for any wiki page
  2. add Front Matter
  3. save - it is saved correctly
  4. open edit of that same page again
  5. observe that the Front Matter is not visible (although it is in the file in the wiki git repo)
  6. save - front matter is stripped from the file and destroyed

What is the expected correct behavior?

I understand that you want to remove it for rendering the wiki, but please show it in the editor, so it can be preserved when edits are made.
