Failed fork due to existing fork does not show error reason in GUI

When forking a project that you've already forked, GitLab shows a banner:

An error occurred while forking the project. Please try again.

All users cry bitter tears when "An error occurred" is shown without detail message.

The detail message is already available in the JSON response (see screenshot). It just needs to be shown in the banner.
