Upgrade badge seems to be gone from admin view

As of today (2022-02-09), my admin dashboard of my Omnibus-CE instance tells me this:

However, on https://about.gitlab.com/releases/categories/releases/ I see that

• there was a 14.7.2 patch release yesterday
• and there was a 14.7.1 security release almost a week ago

i was used to seeing a big glaring "a new version is available, upgrade ASAP" badge (well, not that "big and glaring", but at least visible). Where did that go to?

How is this related to #344682 (closed)?
