Allow settings to revert back to their "null" state

Problem to solve

For a some settings, when a group or project is created they inherit the value of their parent by default. If their parent were to change, then so would they. However, if the settings is changed at the child level then it can never go back to that relationship (null state).

Proposal

Create a scalable pattern that brings this functionality into the UI.
