Reacting to some edited comments resets the edit timestamp
Summary
Reacting to a previously edited comment will set the edit timestamp to "just now". However, this doesn't happen with every edited comment.
The bug seems to be tied to the comments age, because I was only able to reproduce this behavior on more than a dozen comments that were from March 2021 or older, but never on any comment that were newer than that (e.g. April 2021 or Mai 2021).
Steps to reproduce
- Go to this comment, for example
- Note the
Edited by author X ago
message and its current time - React to the comment (e.g. add a
👍 or any other emoji) - Note that the edit timestamp will update to
just now
after a few seconds
What is the current bug behavior?
Reacting to some previously edited comments will set the edit timestamp of that comment to "just now" as if the author just edited their comment.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The edit timestamp of a comment should not be affected by other people reacting to it.
