Make the entire row of Level 1 MR Report Widgets clickable
Problem
On a weekly call of the Working Group, @timzallmann proposed having the entire row of the report widget clickable to assist in expanding/collapsing the other levels.
This is supported by Fitts Law that mentions that:
the amount of time required for a person to move a pointer (e.g., mouse cursor) to a target area is a function of the distance to the target divided by the size of the target. Thus, the longer the distance and the smaller the target's size, the longer it takes. in https://www.interaction-design.org/literature/topics/fitts-law
So the size of the chevron button being small (which is good for less cluttering the UI if not the focus of the user) could start being an annoyance to users. (theory)
Proposal
This area might have more than one call to action, however, defaulting the click in the "whitespace" of the row to expanding/collapsing is a fair assessment given that that's the one thing common in all widgets, regardless of having more than one CTA or not.
An important aspect is implementing this in a way that the feedback is provided accordingly: the hover/focus state for the expanded chevron should be activated as well.
