Deprecate Static Site Editor in 14.7
Deprecation Summary
We are announcing the deprecation of the feature and its API in %14.7 and we intend to remove the Static Site Editor feature in an upcoming release.
The Static Site Editor is a feature that officially supports only Middleman-based static sites that are configured appropriately to pass content into the self-contained editor. After deprecation, we will officially discontinue development of the feature but provide critical security fixes as needed. After removal, requests to open content in the Static Site Editor may be re-routed to the Web IDE but the standalone WYSIWYG editor will no longer be available. We hope to have an alternate solution for WYSIWYG Markdown editing inside the Web IDE in place as soon as possible.
Breaking Change
No, this is not a breaking change. We can re-route traffic to the Web IDE.
