When pasting a link on selected text, change the selected text into a link
Proposal
When inserting text that is a link onto selected text should turn it into a link automatically.
Pain point
The current behaviour pastes the URL as text and replaces the highlighted text. This means the user would need to retype the text or insert link via toolbar or Ctrl-K. This was brought up in Slack (internal link).

This pattern is common in Slack, Jira, and Notion. Google Docs does not have this behaviour.
