馃帹 Design: Organization "front page"

馃摚 Overview

When people click on an organization in the navigation, what will they see on their screen?

If we were to have a page giving an overview of an organization, what would it look like? What information would it contain?

馃殌 Design

To make the organization overview immediately useful for people, we'll surface a few key stats about the organization and a user's frequently visited groups and projects so they can quickly get as sense of what the organization is, and navigate to the content that's most relevant to them.

Longer-term, we can add additional views to the table, including recently visited, and the organization's frequently/recently visited or most active groups/projects. Further in the future, we might consider making this dashboard fully customizable, so that organizations can surface whatever information is most important to them.

For the frequently visited "table", we can follow existing patterns* in terms of the empty state and hover behaviors:

Empty state Hover
Organization___Overview___Empty Organization___Overview___Hover_link

Hover state would underline the group or project name, and a tooltip would reveal the group or project path. Clicking the link would take the user directly to the group or project.

* The behaviors on the various list pages are inconsistent across the site. I believe the blue hover behavior, shown on the group list page, as been removed so, for now, I've mostly opted to follow the patterns on the "explore" project list page.
