Move basic gitops features to GitLab Free
Release notes
Pull-based deployments - often called GitOps - bring an improved security model, better scalability and stability over push-based deployments. The GitLab agent for Kubernetes has supported GitOps workflows from its initial release, but until now, the functionality was available only for Premium and Ultimate customers. The current release brings pull-based deployment support to GitLab Free users too. The features available in GitLab Free should serve small, high-trust teams or be suitable to test the agent before upgrading to a higher tier. The Premium tier will receive support for built-in multi-tenant support, similar to the impersonation feature already available for the CI/CD workflow.
