Follow-up from "POC - Migrate mermaid rendering in GFM to sandboxed iframe"

The following discussion from !74414 (merged) should be addressed:

A minor observation (reproducible on production too): If you create a mermaid tag with an empty source, it throws the same syntax error. Should be easy to fix it, not sure if I should tackle that in this MR.
