Checking/unchecking "Show whitespace changes" in MR diff crashes the browser tab

Steps:

  1. Open a reasonably long MR. For instance: !18567 (diffs)
  2. Under the Changes tab at the bottom, click Settings.
  3. Under settings, click the checkbox titled "Show whitespace changes".

Tested on Chrome.
