GitLab Dekstop for Mac and Windows
Everyone can contribute. Help move this issue forward while earning points, leveling up and collecting rewards.
Description
Problem: Some users prefer to use a desktop solution vs. a command line interface for git.
Use Cases:
- .NET Developers that are used to everything in TFS with a Git repo would love GitLab Desktop
- Non-Developers / Business users
- Less technical user that likes to point and click. Drag and drop. Not CLI user.
Benefits:
- Rapid GitLab adoption for enterprises heavily invested in MSFT TFS or similar dev tool stack
- Close the competitive Gaps between GitLab and GitHub
Existing Customer: https://gitlab.my.salesforce.com/0016100000W3J3M
- Has 1/3 or 33% of Development using TFS
- Potential 1-2K new users
Update 11/8/2017
- Teams asking for this have moved forward with integrating into visual studio or jumped on Tower.
I don’t think we have any folks crying for it right now - Potential 100 new users
Goals: Make it easier for everyone to contribute
