Is there a recommended way to use MigrationHelpers in an arbitrary rails project?

I discovered MigrationHelpers and I'm so thrilled, it's something I've dreamed of having for years.

I would love to use these tools in my rails projects. Is there a way to easily use them in an arbitrary rails project? I looked in the gitlab-foss readme and poked around in subdirectories and couldn't find anything.
