Add additional context to the project deletion modal to increase the significance to the user
Problem to solve
Users are not presented with enough information to understand that the project they're about to delete may have significant consequences.
Proposal
Add the additional information to the project deletion modal:
- Copy to indicate that the project they are about to delete is NOT a fork
- Display # of total issues
- Display # of total merge requests
- Display # of total forks
- Display # of total stars
The above changes to the project deletion modal content will go from:
You are about to permanently delete this project
Once a project is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered. Permanently deleting this project will immediately delete its repositories and all related resources, including issues, merge requests etc.
to:
You are about to permanently delete this project
This project is NOT a fork, and currently has:
- 41,381 issues
- 1,250 merge requests
- 4579 forks
- 3123 stars
Once a project is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered. Permanently deleting this project will immediately delete its repositories and all related resources, including issues, merge requests etc.
Lastly, we will change the text confirmation field from project name
to namespace / project name
, in order to confirm the deletion.
