Issue created Sep 29, 2021 by Liang Peng@lpeng1991

Integrate Dingtalk OAuth to register and login

This is a feature from JIHU. The original issue is suggested by GitLab Inc. to contribute to upstream, so a seperate issue is created here to help our Merge Request get better understood by reviewers.

Problem to solve

As a GitLab user, I want to register/login GitLab via my Dingding Account.
Dingtalk is the largest business communication platform in China

User experience goal

The user should be able to use choose Dingtalk as an alternative in our registration and login page.

Proposal

  1. In the regestrition page, add the Dingtalk entrance.
  2. User choose Dingtalk.
  3. Page redicts to Dingtalk's OAuth Page.
  4. If Dingtalk authorized, GitLab will directly create a new account for the user.
  5. After the user fullfill the email address info, he/she can start use GitLab and login via Dingtalk next time.

Documentation

Product Requirement Document is in Chinese, and will add an English version soon.
