Add documentation for migrating to the Kubernetes Agent
Release notes
We've recently added the Kubernetes Agent to support more secure and reliable Kubernetes app deployments. In order to help you adopt it immediately - we've also added documentation that outlines how to migrate an workload to be managed by the Kubernetes Agent going forward.
Problem to solve
It's hard to know what's next after installing the agent. Migrating existing workloads and app deployments to use the agent is a great first step.
Proposal
I think the process is kind of like this:
- Generate your existing apps Kubernetes manifest files
- Add those manifest files to the appropriate place (for centrally utilized or off-the-shelf apps perhaps that is the agent config directory, for others perhaps it is the repo where the application is built)
- Add the manifest files to your kubernetes agent (Hopefully, this doesn't duplicate your workload on the cluster)
- Remove any previous deployment automation
