Release team: Productive planning meeting

Background

In the past, we've tried to have sync and async planning sessions. We also have a tool called Issue Herder that helps team members blindly vote on issues assigned to a specific milestone. Balancing the planning content, agenda, and cadence has proven difficult. There is still a desire from product, engineering, and design to have a sync session to go over the priorities for a milestone ahead of the day a milestone is locked and issues are assigned the Deliverable label.

Goal

Discuss on an approach to a planning meeting that solves for our needs to communicate broadly to the Stage group.

Outcome

A first draft of the planning strategy for the Release team.
