Problem to solve

Deleted branches and tags, as well as closed MR's are not reflected in downstream GitLab pull mirrors.

From our documentation on pulling from a remote repository this seems to be by design:

"Deleted branches and tags in the upstream repository are not reflected in the GitLab repository."

In an environment that is too large to immediately switch completely GitLab:

• It would be ideal to allow deleted branches and tags in the upstream mirrored repository to also be reflected in the downstream GitLab repository.

• It would also be ideal to update upstream MR's when the status is changed to a closed state
