Add a way to turn off pronouns for administrator

Recently gitlab added pronouns to user profiles. I understand that to american people, it is becomming a part of culture, but to other places it is not relevant and in some ways could be considered offensive. As a company, gitlab can do what it likes and represent its own ideals and we can work together without bothering about each other about it but in the program itself which is used across the world by many different people, pronoun is a injection of culture into a unbiased professional product. I wouldnt expect a box for gay/straight or favorite animal either because they not relevant to the product.

The way i see it:

  • the pronoun box could be remove entirely to ensure a unbiased system (I dont see how its relevant anyways)
  • the option for admin to turn off the pronoun box on self hosted gitlab if they choose

In my team users would add funny/jokey/silly items to the box, causing distraction and unprofessionalism to the workplace and i have seen this happen already to the website.

Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
