Create a shortcut to empty the Container Registry when making admin level changes.

Problem to solve

When managing a project or group Container Registry, it is often necessary to remove all image tags from the registry. There currently isn't a convenient way to do this when the need arises.

Intended users

  • Delaney (Development Team Lead)
  • Devon (DevOps Engineer)
  • Sidney (Systems Administrator)

Further details

It is currently not possible to rename a group that has a full Container Registry.

Proposal

When a user attempts to make a change to the Container Registry that would require it to be open, provide them the option to remove all images contained within to proceed forward. Note, this is a very destructive and permanent action, so caution will be needed.
