Add CI predefined variable for environment:deployment_tier
Proposal
In GitLab 13.10 (#300741 (closed)), the CI keyword environment:deployment_tier
was added. However, it is not exposed as a predefined CI variable (https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/variables/predefined_variables.html)
I propose that a new predefined CI variable be created called CI_ENVIRONMENT_TIER
, and it provides the value of the environment:deployment_tier
keyword.
If the keyword is not set, this shouldn't be a problem. According to GitLab docs (https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/environments/index.html#deployment-tier-of-environments) the value will be the same as CI_ENVIRONMENT_NAME
:
By default, GitLab assumes a tier based on the environment name. Instead, you can use the deployment_tier keyword to specify a tier.
