  thought: I bet a lot of the dropdowns that need to be converted are related to searching/filtering (like #263171 (closed), #263187 (closed), #263209 (closed), #263219 (closed), #263154, ...) and will need similar logic; perhaps this can be abstracted out somewhere? WDYT?
