I was wondering about this as well, and was thinking задачa is more like task but still closer to issue meaning than обсуждение also задачa seems to be used in this wiki page quite a bit, not sure this is the best source though.

It's very old problem to translate issue/ticket. If you want we can start discussion about it. Discussion about discussion ;)

that's exactly what I meant 😅 Not that I have better ideas but проблема/задача still sounds a bit better than обсуждение.
