Show job cancellation information

Problem to solve

When a job is cancelled by a user, there is no information on who cancelled or when the job was cancelled.

Intended users

  • Cameron (Compliance Manager)
  • Parker (Product Manager)
  • Delaney (Development Team Lead)
  • Sasha (Software Developer)
  • Devon (DevOps Engineer)
  • Sidney (Systems Administrator)
  • Sam (Security Analyst)
  • Rachel (Release Manager)
  • Alex (Security Operations Engineer)
  • Simone (Software Engineer in Test)
  • Allison (Application Ops)

User experience goal

A GitLab Admin, or dev team lead or QA team should be able to see more information on cancelled jobs and it should be easy to see and navigate.

Proposal

This is probably something that is best placed within the Analytics > CI/CD section of the project/group.

Permissions and Security

This should be available to Developers and higher.

Availability & Testing

What does success look like, and how can we measure that?

When this information is readily available to users.

What is the type of buyer?
