Renewal Customer Messaging
The requirements related to customer messaging that came out from the Automatic Renewal Refactor project should be taken in consideration as we move Subscription Management and all purchase flows from CustomersDot to GitLab.com.
The business has identified the need to improve/create:
Renewal Email Messaging:
- who renewal email messages should be targeted towards?
- what system should be submitting renewal email messages?
- what renewal email metrics does the business require?
- what cadence to be emailing customers reminders of their renewal?
Renewal In-App Messaging:
- to ensure Admins and other users receive the appropriate in-app messaging about their renewal, payment methods on file and make GitLab.com the SSOT for all credit card updates.
