Problem to solve

When looking at a CI job log, I want to be able to see and copy (as in ctrl-c) the timestamp of when the job was triggered. I can't do this currently because the timestamp is only displayed when I hover the cursor over the "triggered x days ago" text.

gitlab_timestamp

Intended users

Any and everyone who looks at job logs or is involved with CI, so I guess:

  • Delaney (Development Team Lead)
  • Sasha (Software Developer)
  • Devon (DevOps Engineer)
  • Sidney (Systems Administrator)

Further details

This is a very simple usability improvement.

Proposal

Replace the hover-effect with simple text.

What does success look like, and how can we measure that?

I don't have to copy the timestamp by hand.
